Dee-Brief is a 9-part dramedy series (and 3-episode series for broadcast) that tells the story of Dee and Kate, two best friends trying their best to navigate their late 20's in Melbourne. After Dee breaks up with her long term, on-again off-again partner, she moves in with best friend Kate to try and put the pieces back together. But 'adulting' is hard when your best friend is just so damn excited to have you around again. And being single looked a hell of a lot different the last time you were here. Let's be real. We've all been there before.

Dee-Brief is a 9 x 10min dramedy series which tells the universal late 20s break up story, and the chapters involved in rediscovering who you are as an “I’ and not a “we”.

Sarah’s vision for Dee-Brief as the series director was the capitalise on the chemistry between lead actresses Alex Hines and Chloe Martin, who met at the group audition for the series. Recognising the electricity between the two, Sarah worked with the series creator Jessica Pearce to redesign the scripts (which later became scene beats only, and no specific dialogue) to embrace more improvisation between the pair.

A loveable on screen duo, Dee-Brief went on to win many awards in festivals worldwide, and was later acquired by Channel 10 for 10Play and 10Peach.
